Clustering services using protocols and domains
You can cluster Internet Services by combining protocols and domains in your setup. In this scenario, we decided to separate HTTP/FTP and Mail/News (SMTP/NNTP) services for both employees and customers. In total, we have four Internet Services machines running a combination of domains and protocols.

These are the system forms we used to create this clustered setup:
Primary Internet Services
• Basic Internet Setup form
• Gateway form
All Clustered services
• Basic Internet Setup form
• Gateway form

Creating three new clustered services
First we created three new clusters
•       C News & Dir Services Config
•       C Web Services Config
•       E Web & Dir Services Config
following the same steps in Creating a clustered service.

Leave any fields not discussed in these steps empty, and clear these fields if they are not empty.
In this configuration, Husky Plane's primary Internet Services routes all employee mail and news, and does support customer mail services.
The Clustered Services folder should look like this:

Configuring the customer web services cluster
Next, we configured this cluster following these steps:
1       Open the the C Web Services Config folder.
2       Double-click the Basic Internet Setup form.
3       Enter the primary server name (for example, huskyplanes.com) in "Primary domain name" and fill in "Primary DNS" and "Postmaster name" on the General tab.
4       Click the Web tab, select Enable HTTP, and enter the web server name (for example, www.huskyplanes.com) in "HTTP server domain name".
5       Click the File tab, select Enable FTP, and enter the FTP server name (for example, ftp.huskyplanes.com) in "FTP server domain name".
6       Enter the name of the gateway (for example, C Web Services) in "Service account" on the Service tab.
This name must match the entry in "Service name" on the Main tab on the C Web Services gateway form.
7       Clear all fields on the remaining tabs.
Configuring the customer news & Directory Services cluster
Then, we configured this cluster by following these steps:
1       Open the C News & Directory Services Config folder.
2       Double-click the Basic Internet Setup form.
3       Enter the primary server name (for example, huskyplanes.com) in "Primary domain name" and fill in "Primary DNS" and the "Postmaster name" on the General tab.
4       Select "Enable NNTP" on the News tab.
5       Enter the news server name (for example, news.huskyplanes.com) in "NNTP server domain name" and the name of the server that provides your news feed in "NNTP feed server".
6       Select both "Enable Finger" and "Enable LDAP" on the Directory tab.
        81203_42521_14.png        Note
You can enable "SSL support for LDAP" on the LDAP tab on the Advanced Directory form. For information on creating a site security certificate, see About security certificates.
7       Enter the name of the gateway (for example, C News & Directory Services) in "Service account" on the Service tab.
This name must match the entry in "Service name" on the Main tab on the C News & Directory Services gateway form.
Configuring the employee web and directory services cluster
Next, we configured this cluster following these steps:
1       Open the E Web & Dir Services Config folder.
2       Double-click the Basic Internet Setup form.
3       Enter the primary server name (for example, huskyplanes.com) in "Primary domain name" and fill in "Primary DNS" and "Postmaster name" on the General tab.
4       Select "Enable HTTP" and enter the employee web server name (for example, www.employee.huskyplanes.com) in "HTTP server domain name" on the Web tab.
5       Select "Enable FTP" and enter the FTP web server name (for example, ftp.employee.huskyplanes.com) in "FTP server domain name" on the File tab.
6       Click the Directory tab.
7       Select "Enable Finger" and "Enable LDAP".
8       Click the Service tab, and enter the name of the gateway (for example, E Web & Dir Services in "Service account" on the Service tab.
This name must match the entry in "Service name" on the E Web & Dir Services gateway form.

Enabling mail and news on the primary Internet Services
The next thing we did was configure our primary Internet Services following these steps:
1       Open the primary Internet Services folder.
2       Double-click the Basic Internet Setup form.
3       Verify that the correct information has been entered on the General tab.
4       Select "Enable SMTP", "Enable POP3", and "Enable IMAP4" on the Mail tab.
5       Enter the employee mail server name (for example, mail.employee.huskyplanes.com) in "SMTP server domain name".
6       Select "Enable NNTP" and enter the employee news server name (for example, news.employee.huskyplanes.com) in "NNTP server domain name" on the News tab.
7       Click the Service tab and       enter the name of the gateway (for example, Internet in "Service account".
This name must match the entry in "Service name" on the Main tab on the Internet gateway form.
81203_42521_14.png        Note
"Service account" and "Service account number" should already be filled in on the Internet gateway form.

Configuring gateway forms
Finally, we configured all of the gateway forms for each service:
1       Open the C News & Dir Services gateway form.
2       Enter Customer in "Allow these groups to use this service".
3       Open the C Web Services gateway form.
4       Enter Customer in "Allow these groups to use this service".
5       Open the E Web & Dir Services gateway form.
6       Enter Employee in "Allow these groups to use this service".
7       Open the Internet gateway form.
8       Enter Employee in "Allow these groups to use this service".
The final step is to configure the domain names and Mail Exchange (MX) records in the DNS server.
Now there are different Internet Services clusters supporting different services on different domains.
