Installing Dialogic D42/D82 series PBX integration board(s)
PBX preparation
Prepare your PBX exactly as outlined in the Dialogic documentation "PBX Integration board User's Guide for Linux and Windows (2001)".
Dialogic board installation
Follow the instructions in the Dialogic PBX Integration Boards installation and configuration pamplet that was shipped in the box with your Dialogic hardware.
81203_42521_14.png        Take special note of the following:
•       If you are installing a Dialogic VFX 41JCT LS fax resources board, you must install the D42/D82 in the top slot and the fax board beneath.
•       The DCM (Dialogic Configuration Manager) for the D42/D82 automatically assigns a board ID to the D42/D82 (starting at 0).
•       Since the board ID of a VFX 41JCT LS fax board must be greater than that of the voice board(s), set the rotary switch on the fax board to 2 or 3. If you add more voice boards, double check the board ID of the fax resources board to ensure the number is still greater than the number of voice boards installed.
•       After installing the voice board, if the board ID display is flashing there is an error, or work in progress. Flashing 00-E1 to 00-E4 (D42) or 00-E8 (D82) means there is an error on the port number indicated by E# (remember that board IDs are assigned beginning at 0, so 00-E1 is an error on PBX port 0). An error may indicate the port is not connected, or the incorrect interface has been selected.
00-88 indicates the PCI Bus Reset is active.
Connecting the voice board to the PBX
The external cable connecting the D42/D82 board(s) to the PBX (PBX Integration-specific station interface cable) must be ordered separately.
When configuring the connection between the Dialogic voice board(s) and the PBX, the 36-position connector (the Dialogic PBX Integration-specific station interface cable) connects to a 50 pin amphenol connector.
The following table outlines how to configure the channels for a 2-wire system:
