You create a new web site using the Create a new Site form, located in the Internet Services/WWW container on the administrator's Desktop or in the IS Resources container in the Internet Services online help. If you have an existing site, you can continue to create web sites manually.
Creating a web site
You can follow the same steps to create single and multiple web sites.
To create a web site:
1 Create either separate domain addresses or subdomain addresses and register all of them in your DNS and with your Internet provider.
For example, www.yourdomain.com or www.subdomain.yourdomain.com.
2 Double-click the Add a new Site form and fill in the fields.
This form is preaddressed to batch admin so all you have to do is send it. A container with your chosen site name will appear in the WWW folder and will contain the same objects as the Main Site container.
3 Customize the Home Page document (optional).
4 if you want a unique look for a particular site
Customize the .sitepref form.
5 Click Reload Config, located on the Control tab on the Internet Services Monitor, to refresh your changes or restart Internet Services.
