Have you ever needed to pick up messages in your Mailbox, but weren't able to get to a computer? Use FirstClass Voice Services to check and respond to your voice and text messages over the phone.
The following example uses the FirstClass TUI (Telephone User Interface). If you are using a different interface, refer to the Voice Services documentation for your particular system.
Michael Green, the VP of Sales and Marketing at Husky Planes, spends his weekends at his cabin, where he doesn't have Internet access. Michael stays in touch with the office by using his phone to check for new messages in his Mailbox each morning.
Retrieving messages
To pick up messages, he does the following:
1 He dials into the FirstClass Unified Communications system for Husky Planes.
2 He enters his Mailbox number, followed by# when prompted.
Michael's administrator can set Michael's phone up as a recognized number and log directly into his Mailbox by pressing #.
3 He enters his password, followed by # when prompted.
He obtained his organization's Unified Communications number, Mailbox number and password from his Husky Planes administrator.
4 He presses 2 to hear new text and voice messages.
5 He presses 76 to delete messages that do not need to be saved.
Responding to messages
To respond to a message, he does the following:
1 He listens to the message and presses 71 to reply to sender.
2 He presses 5, records his message, and presses # to end the recording.
3 He presses 79 to send the message.
