About duplication groups and buttons
A duplication group is populated with the contents of another form.
Duplication groups
don't work with forms that contain group fields (for example, tab controls, radio groups, and collapsible groups).
Duplication groups are used to add rows to forms when you do not know how many rows will be required. This lets you add just one row to the form. Users, FirstClass Application Services (FCAS), or a database extension can then add additional rows as required. For information on FCAS, see the Application Services help conference.
If users will be adding rows, duplication buttons allow them to add or insert a row, or delete a selected row.

Adding duplication groups
1 Choose Fields > Buttons & Groups > Duplication Group.
2 Add this field to the form.
3 Type the ID of the form you want to import at "Form resource ID" on the Contents tab of the Field Attributes form.
The form must have a form type of Form Template.
4 Size the field.
For the field height, accommodate the number of rows you want displayed before users must scroll.
For the field width, accommodate both the width of the form you are importing, plus the width of the scroll bar.
5 Add duplication buttons, if users will be adding or removing rows.
If you know there will always be a certain minimum number of rows, you can add these rows directly to the form by creating a duplication button that adds rows, choosing Form > Prefill Form, then clicking the duplication button.
Adding duplication buttons
1 Choose Fields > Buttons & Groups > Duplication Button.
2 Add this field to the form.
3 Update the following fields on the Contents tab of the Field Attributes form as required:
