Starting FirstClass Application Services 
Before starting FCAS, you must set a password on the gateway password and the settings file password. 
Windows 
The FCAS installation places an FCAS executable in the FCAS folder on your hard drive. It has this icon: 
Add a Desktop shortcut to this file and double-click it to start FCAS. 
When the FCAS console displays "FCAS Initialized and ready." you are ready to use FCAS. 
Mac OS X and Linux 
This file is called or fcasd and is located in the FCAS folder on your hard drive. 
The FCAS Start alias is automatically added to the operating system's desktop.  
Double-click the icon to start FCAS. 
All Unix-based versions launch as a daemon.
