Every child wants to write a letter to Santa. Why not have them practice their typing skills at the same time? Have the younger students write to Santa, and have the older students respond to the letters.
9203_31808_2.png Instructions
STEP 1: Create the FirstClass environment.
1       Create a Letters to Santa conference in a location where students have access to it.
2       Give yourself Controller permissions and students Contributor permissions.
Make sure you include both the lower grades and higher grades that will be participating.
3       Create two subconferences. The first is To Santa, the second is From Santa. Give the same permissions as in Step 2 for the To Santa subconference, but only allow the higher grade students to access the From Santa subconference.
4       Create a document for each lower grade student in the To Santa subconference. This is where students will type their letters.
STEP 2: Outline the details.
Create a Details or Welcome document in the From Santa subconference. Include details such as the due date and the required information.
STEP 3: Share the letters.
Print out each From Santa letter and distribute it. You may wish to put them in an envelope as if each child is receiving mail.
