81203_42521_14.png        Note
This document describes the setup process for Dialogic voice and fax boards from the T1/E1 installation and configuration procedure.
1       Open the gcconfig file (\FCServer\vs\CONFIG\gcconfig.cf) using an ASCII text editor.
The file will look something like this:
82702_105226_0.png
81203_42521_14.png        Note
Entries in this file are case sensitive.
2       The first column lists the virtual channels on the Dialogic boards.
Modify this column to match your system configuration. The pattern is as follows:
dxxxB1C1
dxxxB1C2
dxxxB1C3
dxxxB1C4
dxxxB2C1
to
dxxxB2C4
dxxxB3C1
etc.
•       There can be only 4 virtual channels (c) per virtual board (b).
•       If you have one 24-channel voice board (D240JCT) the list will continue to dxxxB6C3 (only 23 channels because of the D-channel).
•       If you have one 30-channel voice board  (E1 configurations - D300JCTE1120) the list will continue to dxxxB8C2.
•       If you add another 24-channel voice board, or if you have one 48-channel voice board (D480JCT) instead of two 24s, the list will continue from dxxxB6C3 as follows:
dxxxB7C1
dxxxB7C2
to
dxxxB12C3 (remember there are only 23 voice channels)
•       Fax resource boards work the same as voice boards and require one line per channel.
81203_42521_14.png        Note
Entries in this column must match the above case sensitivity.
3       The second column lists the protocol.
Modify this column to match your system configuration:
•       All T1/E1 PRI channels are ISDN.
•       Enter FAX for fax resources.
81203_42521_14.png        Note
Entries in this column must be upper case.
4       The third column lists the Network, or Digital Interface for each channel.
Modify this column to match your system configuration.
81203_42521_14.png        Note
This column is only for T1 PRI interfaces. Do not enter anything for fax resources in this column.
The pattern is as follows:
dtiB1T1
dtiB1T2
dtiB1T3
sequentially to
dtiB1T23
(E1 continues to dtiB1T30)
For the second T1 PRI span continue:
dtiB2T1
dtiB2T2
sequentially to
dtiB2T23
(E1 continues to dtiB2T30)
81203_42521_14.png        Note
Entries in this column must match the above case sensitivity.
5       The right column is an optional column. If you have dedicated ports for incoming or outgoing numbers on your T1 PRI span, enter the number corresponding to the port.
