The FirstClass Server automatically generates user statistics files that record server activity to help administrators track system usage. Whenever a system audit is performed, it automatically generates a disk use statistics file that records the amount of hard disk space each user is using. The Log Analyzer generates reports based
on the data it extracts from these statistics files.
What the Log Analyzer can do
The FirstClass Log Analyzer uses your statistics files to generate reports displaying protocols and user activities on your system. Using this application, you can track the following user activities:
• user logins
• interface types used to log in
• OS platforms used to log in
• IP activity
• system usage
• disk usage
• any activities in the Journaling control section on the Statistics Control form.
For user statistics files, the Log Analyzer can also generate external output reports that can be printed or viewed later.
