This document describes the setup process for Dialogic voice and fax boards from the T1/E1 installation and configuration procedure.
1       Ensure the boards are not running.
The screen shot below shows a configuration with a D480JCT voice board and a Dialogic D/MF240 fax resource board, which are not running.

2       Configure the voice board to use the appropriate switch interface:

Complete this step for voice board(s) only, not fax boards.
1       Select the voice board device by single-clicking.
2       Click the Configure Device icon:

3       On the Interface tab choose the appropriate switch value from the dropdown list. This is the switch at the CO that the T1 is routed from.

4       If you have a dual-span voice board (D480JCT), set the switch value for each parameter (see the screen shot above).

Do not change any of the values for any other configuration settings on any other tab in the Dialogic Configuration Manager.
5       Click OK.
3       Optional
If you want the voice and fax boards to start automatically when the Voice Services machine is started, change the Startup Mode to Automatic.
Choose Service > Startup Mode > Automatic.
4       Start the boards by clicking the Start icon.
When the boards are running, there is a green icon next to each and the System Service Status is Running.

5       Close the Dialogic Configuration Manager.
6       Return to T1/E1 installation and configuration.
