FirstClass user-created mail rules
Any FirstClass user with the appropriate privilege can create personal mail rules for their own Mailbox and any conferences for which they have the appropriate permissions. For information on how to create and use these mail rules, see our online help.
Internet Services tags messages that fail any of the spam tests with 'X-SPAM-xxxx' headers. Users can test these headers using their own mail rules to file or discard messages they think are spam. If a user sees a message with a warning icon, for example
he can view the message's Internet header to see the spam level and why the message was marked as spam. Here is an example of what the Internet header looks like for a message with a 'High' X-SPAM-warning:
Using mail rules in conjunction with SMTP rules provides both you and your users the ability to efficiently deal with Internet spam on your system.
About junk mail handling
If a user has Junk mail handling set to Delete Silently(see Preferences form), then any message marked as Junk will be deleted automatically. By default, this applies to all messages with a spam level of HIGH (greater than 50 spam level).
