Internet Services security features are layered and execute in this order:
Filter documents, which accepts or rejects mail based on the sender's IP address or domain name appearing in your filter(s) document.
Reverse DNS Lookup, which queries the DNS name against an incoming IP address for validity, if you have it enabled on your system.
RBL (Realtime Blackhole List) lookup, which queries up to three RBL services of your choice.
SMTP rules, which scans and inserts a message header, message body, and spam score (assigns a number) to incoming email based on its content.
User-created rules (described in our online help), which deal with incoming mail based on how the user has set them up.
